Excellent location, easy walk to ALL historic sites near Pantheon. Very close to Plaka and 1.80 EU excellent gyros and 2 EU beers (so you can eat cheap, if you want). Very friendly and helpful staff. Room was simple and not large, but clean. Very nice view from roof garden. Breakfast included and quite adequate.Even insisted on packing a breakfast for us because we had to leave at 4:30 AM! Sell water and juices at reasonable prices in the lobby. These guys do not gouge! We had a leak in the sink drain pipe and it was fixed very promptly when we reported it. Very friendly and helpful staff. Try to help you get best price for transport to airport of ship peer.

TV had poor reception, but who cares? Would be nice if elevators were a bit bigger, but they are clean and work reliably and it is an old building...

Second time at this place and we consider it a very reliable economy hotel with a great location. The pornmovie place across the street is a "who cares". There is a much more expensive hotel right next to it, for that matter. Local markets are just a few minutes away and fascinating to walk through (meats, fish, fruits/vegetables, flowers)...with real locals shopping. We like this place A LOT and heartily recommend it. Book room 806 or 805 if you want a fantastic view.

Very nice room and hotel for the price! Very clean and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Hotel is within walking distance to most of the tourist sights.

It is a family hotel with 56 rooms which is located in the centre of Athens, in a quiet road, behind the OLD Town Hall - in Athinas str. The location of the hotel allows you easy access to the Plaka area (10 minutes by foot), Acropolis is (15 minutes by foot), National Archaeological Museum and the University is (5 minutes by foot) and Syntgma square is (10 minutes by foot). It is between Monastiraki and Omonoia sqr where you find a Metro station. All rooms are recently renovated (2003) and each one has a private bath with hot water 24 hours a day, a TV set, soundproof windows, direct dial telephone, small balcony, refrigerator, hair dryer and all of them are air-conditioned. The reception is open 24 hours, so you can check in any time you want. During summer time you can enjoy your drink at the roof garden with view to the Acropolis and to the Lycavitous Hill.
